Tribute to the African Child: Strong and bold Sometimes I sit and wonder how I got this far from way yonder. I know not where I will be tomorrow, I know not how I will get there but I know I will succeed, succeed indeed I will...through His grace. I feel His greatness deposited within me. It makes my strong when I am weak. It keeps me going like the rising sun. I reminisce on the journeys beginning. The long 20 mile walk to school from Genni, my tiny toes hunkered beneath my Cortina shoes, my feet blistered from the scoring road we traveled so often. My head weighed down by the weight of my termite infested desk as I looked forward to the challenges ahead. I remember the laughs we shared while making funny faces, the songs we sang to make time pass so quickly. The tears I wept as I remembered the warm embrace of my sweet mamma, as she bid us goodbye with stern advice “make sure you work hard and make me proud!” she said. Those words of advice I still hold strong. …While basking gracefully under my African Sun. Play Video @ emag.uduonline.com 3
